തിരുവനന്തപുരം :എൺപതാമത് സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യ ദിനപുലരിയിൽ ലോക് ഭവനിൽ ഗവർണ്ണർ രാജേന്ദ്ര വിശ്വനാഥ് ആർലേക്കർ ദേശീയ പതാക ഉയർത്തി അഭിവാദ്യം അർപ്പിച്ചു. ദേശീയ ഗീതാലാപനത്തോടെ ആരംഭിച്ച ചടങ്ങിൽ ഗവർണ്ണർ ത്രിവർണ പതാക ഉയർത്തിയത്തോടെ ദേശീയഗാനം ആലപിച്ചു. നഗരത്തിലെ സ്ക്കൂൾ വിദ്യാർഥിനികളാണ് 'വന്ദേ മാതരവും' 'ജനഗണമന'യും അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത്. തുടർന്ന് ദേശ ഭക്തി ഗാനങ്ങളും. പതാക വന്ദനത്തിന് ലോക് ഭവനിൽ എത്തിയവരിൽ പത്മശ്രീ ലക്ഷ്മിക്കുട്ടി അമ്മയും ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു.
