ഒരു പതിറ്റാണ്ട് മുമ്പ് രജനികാന്തിന്റെ കിഡ്നി മാറ്റിവച്ചിരുന്നു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ആരോഗ്യത്തെ സംബന്ധിച്ച് ആശുപത്രിയുടെയോ കുടുംബത്തിന്റെയോ ഭാഗത്ത് നിന്നും ഇതുവരെ ഔദ്യോഗിക പ്രസ്താവനകളൊന്നും ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല.
