ദര്‍ബാര്‍ ഹാളിന്‍റെയും അശോക ഹാളിന്‍റെയും പേരുകളാണ് മാറ്റിയത്.
ന്യൂഡൽഹി: രാഷ്ട്രപതി ഭവനിലെ രണ്ട് ഹാളുകളുടെ പേരുമാറ്റി. ദര്‍ബാര്‍ ഹാളിന്‍റെയും അശോക ഹാളിന്‍റെയും പേരുകളാണ് മാറ്റിയത്.രാഷ്ട്രപതി ഭവനിലെ ദർബാർ ഹാളിനു ഗണതന്ത്ര മണ്ഡപ് എന്നാണ് പുതിയ പേര് നൽകിയത്. അശോക് ഹാളിന് അശോക് മണ്ഡപ് എന്നും മാറ്റി. പേരുകൾ മാറ്റി രാഷ്ട്രപതി ദ്രൗപതി മുർമു ഉത്തരവിറക്കി.രാജഭരണ കാലത്തേയും ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് ഇന്ത്യയേയും ഓർമിപ്പിക്കുന്ന പദമാണ് ദർബാറെന്നും ഇന്ത്യ റിപ്പബ്ലിക് ആയതോടെ അതിന്‍റെ പ്രസക്തി നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടെന്നുമാണ് ഉത്തരവിൽ രാഷ്ട്രപതി വിശദീകരിക്കുന്നത്.
