നഗരസഭയുടെ മാലിന്യശേഖരണ കേന്ദ്രത്തില്‍ വന്‍തീപിടിത്തം. ദേശീയപാതയോട് ചേര്‍ന്ന് മാലിന്യശേഖരകേന്ദ്രത്തിന്റെ പിന്‍ഭാഗത്ത് കൂട്ടിയിട്ട മാലിന്യങ്ങളിലാണ് തീപിടിച്ചത്
തൃശ്ശൂര്‍: ചാലക്കുടി ഇന്‍ഡോര്‍ സ്റ്റേഡിയത്തിന് സമീപം നഗരസഭയുടെ മാലിന്യശേഖരണ കേന്ദ്രത്തില്‍ വന്‍തീപിടിത്തം. ദേശീയപാതയോട് ചേര്‍ന്ന് മാലിന്യശേഖരകേന്ദ്രത്തിന്റെ പിന്‍ഭാഗത്ത് കൂട്ടിയിട്ട മാലിന്യങ്ങളിലാണ് തീപിടിച്ചത്. ഗതാഗതം അല്പനേരം തടസ്സപ്പെട്ടു.ശനിയാഴ്ച ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് 12.30-ഓടെയാണ് തീപ്പിടിത്തമുണ്ടായത്. കനത്ത ചൂടാണ് തീപിടിത്തത്തിന് കാരണമെന്നാണ് പ്രാഥമികനിഗമനം. മാള, ചാലക്കുടി, ഇരിങ്ങാലക്കുട, കൊടകര, അങ്കമാലി എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലെ അഗ്നിരക്ഷായൂണിറ്റുകള്‍ ചേര്‍ന്ന് തീ നിയന്ത്രണവിധേയമാക്കി.
