ന്യൂഡൽഹി : ആധാർ കാർഡ് ജനന തീയതി തെളിയിക്കാൻ അനുയോജ്യമായ രേഖയല്ലെന്ന് വ്യക്തമാക്കി സുപ്രീംകോടതി. ഹരിയാനയിലെ വാഹനാപകടമരണ നഷ്‌ടപരിഹാരക്കേസിൽ ആധാർ കാർഡിന് പകരം സ്‌കൂൾ ലീവിംഗ് സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റിലെ ജനനതീയതിയെ ആശ്രയിച്ച ട്രൈബ്യൂണൽ നടപടി ശരിവച്ചു കൊണ്ടാണ് നിരീക്ഷണം. ജസ്റ്റിസുമാരായ സഞ്ജയ് കരോൽ, ഉജ്ജൽ ഭുയാൻ എന്നിവരടങ്ങിയ ബെഞ്ചാണ് വിഷയം പരിഗണിച്ചത്. ആധാർ കാർഡ് തിരിച്ചറിയൽ രേഖ മാത്രമാണെന്നും, ജനന തീയതി തെളിയിക്കുന്ന രേഖയല്ലെന്നും യുണീക് ഐഡന്റിഫിക്കേഷൻ അതോറിട്ടി ഒഫ് ഇന്ത്യ മാർഗരേഖ പുറത്തിറക്കിയിരുന്നു.
